Well, I’m about two months pregnant I think. I had lots of morning sickness this week and I’m really tired. I’ve been sleeping so much and feel so lazy. Thank God, John has been there to help. I fell very guilty.

Mom and Dad called and said they would buy us a baby buggy. That’s really good because they are very expensive. We get to choose it. It’ll have to fit in our cars. I’ve been looking at some at the Bay.

It’s really cold here today.

Tomorrow we go for “Genetic Counseling.” It sounds as if this is just an information session. It is at the Health Services Building on Dunmore road.

We are still in the middle of exams. I find it very hard to concentrate.
I’m so excited about this baby. It is almost a month since it was conceived. John and I were just out of work, on Christmas Vacation.

We tried to have a baby from the time we were married up until my 36th birthday. We really had given up. In November of 2003 we moved into this apartment. It doesn’t allow children. We have only been here a few months but I really like this place. It is very big, with 3 bedrooms.

I found out I was pregnant on the second day of school, January 6, 2004. I had a feeling I was pregnant, but I had had this feeling before. I picked up and Home Pregnancy Test from Boylans and came home and peed in a cup. John went out for a few minutes. I couldn’t believe it when I saw the extra line. I had to check it with the instructions what felt like 100 times. Then I took it into my office and waited. John came back and I told him I had a surprise. I told him I was pregnant and showed him the stick. He had to sit down and said “wow” a 100 times, I think.

John was pretty quiet for the first week. The following week, I went to the doctor. He confirmed it and put my on pre-natal vitamins. That night I told my mom and dad, and then he called his parents. He has been very talkative and excited since then. I think it took a while to sink in. This weekend he even bought baby’s first toy... a baby GUND. It is so soft.

I told lots of the ladies at work too. I had told Keri, the day I took the home test and Randy the day after. They are my two best friends. I told Teresa the night I told my parents. It’s nice getting all the attention.

I’ve had some morning sickness. On the way to work one day, I actually got sick while in the car. I had to swallow it. I didn’t think I’d make it all the way to work. Tonight is the first evening that I’ve felt OK. I had Chille for dinner. Will this baby like chilli?

I don’t know if it will be a boy or a girl, so I’m using the word “it.” I hope everything goes OK. This baby is already loved more than he/she will ever know.
